Standards & Terms

This platform is built to a standard. Using it, or hosting work on it, means agreeing to the five rules below. They are checked for, and they are enforced.

These rules exist so that what gets built and shared here stays safe, lawful, reproducible, and never used to put basic human needs behind a paywall. They are stated plainly on purpose. Anyone is free to fork this platform and run it under their own terms; these are the terms of this one.

The five rules

1. No weapons Immediate removal

This platform does not create, assist with, or promote weapons or the manufacture of weapons of any kind. This is an absolute floor with no grace period. A confirmed violation results in immediate removal of the content and the account, because this is not something that happens by accident, and allowing it to continue for any length of time is not acceptable.

2. Follow all laws and regulations Immediate removal

Everything hosted or run here must comply with applicable laws and regulations. This is an absolute floor with no grace period. A confirmed violation results in immediate removal, for the same reason as the rule above: unlawful activity is not a misunderstanding to be corrected over time, and it will not be carried on this platform while someone decides what to do about it.

3. Respect the terms of the systems you operate inside Correctable

Any third-party system, service, or platform used within your work here must be used in accordance with its own terms of service. Because this can be a genuine misunderstanding, it follows the correction process below rather than immediate removal.

4. Anything created must be repeatable for everyone Correctable

Once the rules above are met, whatever is built here must be reproducible by anyone. No secret dependency, no hidden step, no piece that only the original maker can run. If it cannot be forked and rebuilt by a stranger, it does not yet meet the standard. This is treated as correctable and follows the process below.

5. Never charge for housing and land, food, or water Correctable

No system on this platform may place housing or land, food, or water behind payment. These are foundational human necessities and are never to be charged for here. Where a system touches these necessities, both the system and what it provides in that domain must remain free. This is treated as correctable and follows the process below.

How violations are handled

Rules 1 and 2 — weapons and law — are absolute floors. A confirmed violation of either results in immediate removal of the content and the account, with no warning and no grace period.

Rules 3, 4, and 5 can be genuine, correctable mistakes, and are handled through the following steps:

Warning. When a violation is found, the operator is notified rather than banned, and is told exactly what broke the standard.
One week to resolve. The operator has seven days to do one of three things: remove the violating content, change their system so it no longer breaks the rule, or accept assistance from this platform in building their own system from scratch so they can run it under their own terms. This assistance is offered only for good-faith, correctable conflicts — never to help relocate activity that breaks Rules 1, 2, or 3 to somewhere else.
Final 24-hour notice. If the week passes without resolution, a final twenty-four-hour notice is issued.
Removal. If that notice also passes without action, the account is banned.
On record. If the operator resolves the issue in time and is not banned, the matter is recorded. Because the standard has now been explained to them directly, a second confirmed violation results in an immediate and permanent ban with no further warning.

No review process is perfect, and these terms do not claim that prohibited content can never appear. What they establish is the standard, the commitment to check for it, and the consequence when it is found. This platform does not create or promote anything that violates these rules. Responsibility for a violation rests with the person who broke the rule.
